Memory Lane

Newest of the New,

..........but old times are not forgotten!

It was the second to be built in Georgia....the first in ‘Hotlanta’, the second right here in Perry, Georgia. The latest in Chevron’s convenience store design was recently built at the intersection of I-75 and Sam Nunn Blvd./Hwy. 341 by local Perry Chevron Jobber, Davis Co. The design called "Grand Entry" by Chevron is built on the same spot occupied by a station of the old Standard Oil Co. of Kentucky which was acquired by Standard Oil Co. of California (now Chevron). This old Standard station was owned and operated by Mr. Charles Nelson. In my youth it was one of the local "filling stations" that provided the commodity for our Sunday afternoon adventures.....now known as cruis’n !

This new design just proves that Perry is "simply smarter" !

®Chevron Corp.

Best wishes to Davis Co. and their newest location!
