Everett Guards
| A Company made up at Fort Valley and fully equipped by Mr. J. Abb Everett, a wealthy citizen, and was named in his honor. This company went to Savannah and was in service only six months. Capt. A. H. Long was made Captain, and Mr. Everett 1st Lieut. It is regretted that the names of this company have not been preserved. The names, however, have already appeared on the rosters with other companies. |
