Obituary L. P. Sledge
Mr. L.P. Sledge, a citizen of this County (Houston), died on Mar 23, 1896.He was fifty-five years old. He was one of the "Immortal Nine" of the Beauregard Volunteers Co. 6th Georgia Regiment. Mr. Sledge leaves a wife and five children. The two oldest daughters are married and the other three; two boys and a girl, are quite small and young".
